Expressive Gifts is a multi award winning small business established in 2018.

The owner Vicky, a former credit manager from London, now lives in the West Midlands with her family.  After having her son in 2011, she spent some time at home then completed training to work in mainstream and special schools. During this time, she was inspired by the children's creativity with not only their written work, but unique drawing skills.  Vicky has also had a love of handwriting that goes back to childhood, and practices calligraphy in her spare time.  

At the time, school cuts hit and the work in schools became very limited.  She wanted to find a way to work flexibly to fit in with family life, and to be able to capture the unique and sentimental creations from both children's drawings and handwriting in a way that was as unique as the hands that created them.  

After a visit to a trade show in January 2018, Vicky saw demonstrations of equipment that could fulfil her needs, and after learning some design software basics, Expressive Gifts was born.  

Vicky has won a number of small business awards including "Queen Of Handwriting Products", Jacqueline Gold's "WOW" (Women on Wednesday) and in December 2019 won Theo Paphitis' SBS (Small Business Sunday) award. 

The business vision was to stand out and offer quality products with a difference, and something extra.

Most of the handwriting products come with an optional fully bespoke design service.  This, simply put, means that we are able to print anything of your choice with the handwriting to make the gift extra special and thoughtful.  

Our handwriting work has come from many sources - mostly from cards or letters, but we have worked with writing from some unexpected sources such as a whiteboard, a bedroom wall, a blackboard and even a piece of kitchen roll. We are confident that we can use any piece of handwriting when supplied with a good quality image.  

Children's drawings and photo gifts are also highly sentimental and make perfect gifts for family members and friends.
