We highly recommend drawings in bright colours and the use of pens rather than pencils or crayons where possible. Most of the work involved is essential preparation of the artwork for print, and many fine lines and detail can be lost if they are faint and light. We cannot simply print the original image, and need to ensure that only the drawing itself is printed without any background for a professional high quality and vibrant finish.
All drawings can be printed in full colour, and we will do our utmost to replicate the colours as closely as possible, allowing for differences in not only screen resolution but the colours that can be printed vs colours on screen.
It is recommended that images are scanned for clarity and the best results, but if you can only send a photo please see below for guidelines to get the best quality images. Please also note that Etsy messages do not support uploading pdf files, so if using scanned images please email after checkout to orders@expressivegifts.co.uk

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SENDING IMAGES OF THE DRAWING:
* For best results SCAN the drawing (drawings using crayon are often much fainter lines and all of the detail will not be picked up on photos)
* If taking photos instead, always take them in NATURAL DAYLIGHT.
* Do not use a flash
* Take photos directly OVERHEAD so your phone is horizontal and straight so that only the drawing is visible on screen
* Send photos in their original size and high resolution
* Do NOT crop photos
ORDER PROCESSING:
As all items are handmade to order, processing generally takes 3-4 working days but these times can increase in busy periods. We will acknowledge your order and send a digital proof for approval before printing. Please check your email spam folder to avoid delays in processing.
Once complete, your order will be shipped via Royal Mail first class. Postage in the UK for this item is £3.95 as a small parcel. For more urgent shipping, please choose the special delivery option allowing for processing time (we cannot process and ship orders same day)
