All we need is a scanned image of the handwriting, or a good quality photo. Please see guidelines below for image requirements and dos/don'ts.
We take extreme pride in our work, and undertake professional preparation of any artwork for print. A major and time-consuming part of this process is essential to ensure that only the handwriting is printed on the final product. It is not possible to simply print any image as is, no matter how good it is. This is especially true for older, worn and torn pieces of handwriting.
We can change the colour of the final print, and options are in the listing for you to choose the print colour.
e.g. If the recipe was written in blue but you would prefer it printed in black, we can absolutely do this for you. Just add a note.
Tea towels are microfibre and cotton and measure approximately 30 x 50 cms. Machine washable.

We can print just the handwriting on its own, or include a bespoke design of your choice for that extra personal touch. There is no defined list of what this can be, as it's very individual and the possibilities are endless. Popular choices we have received requests for include things like a favourite flower, baking icons or something related to a hobby that is meaningful to either the recipient or the person whose handwriting it is.
What you will see in the product images are completed orders, some of which have bespoke designs added, some without.
IMPORTANT: IF NO BESPOKE DESIGN REQUIREMENTS ARE SPECIFIED IN THE PERSONALISATION FIELD AT TIME OF ORDER, JUST THE HANDWRITING WILL BE PRINTED ON ITS OWN, THE PRODUCT DOES NOT COME WITH ANY DESIGN AS STANDARD.
HOW TO ORDER:
• Choose the writing print colour.
• Upload the image of the handwriting to use
• Add details of any bespoke design requirements and other notes/instructions
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SENDING IMAGES:
To get the best result for you please:
• Preferably scan images
• If you cannot scan, ensure photos are taken in natural daylight without internal lights on so as to avoid shadows (these badly affect results)
• Hold the phone directly overhead so it's horizontal and straight and only the paper/writing source you are photographing is in the image window.
• Do NOT crop or amend the photo size/resolution. Original size is best.
• Do NOT send just a screen shot, the original photo is needed for quality.
We can use up to 2 images per order if you have parts that you wish to put together from different recipes/writing. Each image is technically a separate order and requires work in the preparation process, therefore we cannot accept more than 2 without further charges.
We can add a title to any recipe and other typed text as required.
CARE:
Machine washable to 40 degrees C. Avoid harsh chemicals. Hang to dry, do not tumble dry.
PROCESSING:
All orders are processed by date of receipt; we therefore often have multiple orders open at any one time and work through them as quickly as possible. Processing is approximately 3-4 business days, this is subject to change in busy periods. A digital proof is always sent for your approval before printing. Please check your email spam folder to avoid delays in processing.
